Consequently, the Minister requested the resignation of the President of the National Agency for Fishing and Aquaculture (ANPA), responsible for the absorption of EU funds in the field, and announced the competition in the coming days for the institution’s vacant position.
Sarbu also criticized the activity of other institutions working with European funds, and mentioned that the European Commission is also concerned about the situation in Romania.
Romania is obliged to come up with a new National Plan for Rural Development, since the European Commission rejected the one submitted last year, as this was considered unsatisfactory.
