Sales will reach 1,800 units this year, of which 1,300 will be Volkswagens, 240 Audis, and the remainder commercial vehicles. Midocar estimates it will sell 2,650 units in 2009, of which 2,000 will be Volkswagens.
Midocar opened a 26,900 square meter integrated automotive complex in Bucharest, following an investment worth €14.5 million, including the land, which cost €2.9 million. The complex could have 140 employees by the end of the year. Services include technical assistance, car parts and accessories, and an ecological car wash.
The car dealer will open a new 24,000 sqm center in Buzau, following an investment worth €5 million.
The company was established in 1992 and has sold over 8,500 cars to date. Its main competitor is Porsche Romania.
