Beck’s is sold in 120 countries and is the best-selling German beer worldwide. In Romania, it registered a 35 percent increase in sales, in terms of volume, due to higher consumption on the hotel, restaurant and cafe market (HoReCa) segment and investments in the product, according to InBev officials for Business Standard. Beck’s volume sales in the HoReCa segment rose 17 percent, while the total growth of this segment was 12 percent compared to 2006.

Other brands owned by InBev in Romania are Bergenbier, Stella Artois and Noroc.

The local beer market exceeded €1 billion last year. InBev’s main competitors in this country are Heineken, URBB and Ursus Breweries.
