“We are focusing on maintaining jobs and current salary packages, including benefits, and our efforts are meant to raise the commitment of people to the company, through motivational programs and personal development initiatives,” said Petkova.
InBev has reduced its training budget, in an effort to reduce costs due to the economic crisis, added Petkova. “In this respect, we decided to rely on internal resources: experience and know-how of our employees. As such, in the first quarter of 2009, we tripled the number of training hours delievered, compared to the same period last year, at one third of the costs we had in January-March 2008,” explained InBev’s People Director.
Petkova believes that the working force market is leveling out in terms of supply and demand, giving the company the possibility of recruiting very good people, recruited from a large pool of applicants.
