“After the first four months, revenues are at the same level as in 2008. This means that there are companies recruiting managers, even in the midst of the crisis,” according to the Managing Partner of Wrightson executive search company, Alexandru Talmazan.
IT and telecom companies are recruiting managers to fill new positions, created to strengthen the organization’s expansion and consolidation processes, Talmazan said. Pharmaceutical companies are also strengthening their position on the market, while FMCG companies are trying to take advantage of the weaknesses of competitors.
One of the top headhunters locally, George Butunoiu, said that, unlike previous years, when most recruitment projects were in the financial sector, FMCG and production fields are top recruiters this year.
“Increasingly more companies are changing managers, either with (much) better ones, but who earn the same money, or with some as good as the previous ones, who accept lower salaries,” he said.
