Interest on deposits offered by Alpha Bank to increase

The new interest rates for products intended for individuals, namely Alpha Progressive, will reach an annual 14 percent in the last month of maturation of the deposit for savings in lei and 7.25 percent for those in euro. Deposits can be made for periods of 6 and 12 months, in lei or euro, and interest rises each month, offering clients major yields.

Interest on 12-month time deposits and certificates of deposit with coupons for individuals rose to 7.75 percent for lei, while those for six months increased to 4.50 percent for euro. For corporates interest rates offered for time deposits and certificates of deposit with coupons reached and annual 6.75 percent on lei and 3.75 on euro, depending on the period of the deposit.

As of 30 September 2007, Alpha Bank Romania had client deposits worth €997 million.
