Last year’s net sales amounted to €33.4 mln, down 14 percent compared to 2006, and net profit reached RON 361,000.
“The drop in business was due to two major investments in 2007, involving the acquisition and installation of a cutter and a machine to package the aircrete, which partially interrupted the production process, while amortization expenses rose. However, these will all be premises for assured financial growth in 2008,” according to a company announcement.
Simcor Oradea is planning to increase its production capacity by the end of the year to an annual 300,000 tons from 220,000 tons of aircrete.
Main competitors are Celco Constanta, Prefab and Elpreco Craiova.
