Investments in Timisoara’s northern beltway to exceed €14 million

According to these same representatives, the northern beltway connecting National Road (DN) 6 and DN 69, must be completed by 2008, and the deadline was extended to the end of next year because the investment is being covered by an external loan from the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC).

The extension of the deadline is subject to the bank’s agreement. Minister of Transports, Ludovic Orban, explained on Tuesday that this has already been resolved. “Secretary of State Septimiu Buzasu was in Japan to sign the loan and the Japanese have given us their verbal agreement. The contract is as good as concluded,” added Orban in Timisoara, on the occasion of a 150-year celebration of the Timisoara-Jimbolia railroad. (NewsIn)
