IT distribution companies looking for investors

Arobs Transilvania software developer and GPS device distributor could shortly have an investment fund among its shareholders, according to the company’s Manager and majority shareholder Voicu Oprean. A 10 percent stock of Arobs Transilvania is already controlled by another financial investor, Finnish Berling Capital fund.

One of the top IT distributors on the market, RHS Company, has €13.5 million worth of loans ongoing. Due to poor sales in November, the company redrafted its budget for this year and 2009. “We registered a drop in sales in November, which was not budgeted. Furthermore, loans are an important part of the funds we are operating with on the market, but access to banks is no longer free,” RHS Company’s General Manager, Dragos Popescu said.

Higher lending costs is leading other companies lower their financing lines and limit costs to their own funds. “We have ongoing loans with Volksbank [lender], from which we withdraw funds when needed, but no more than €50,000. We are trying to lower dependence on banks to zero, because costs are unbearable,” the General Manager of SAS group, Adrian Dinu, said. SAS group distributes GPS devices.
