“From the point of view of applicants, in the context of the current economic instability, increasingly fewer specialists are willing to take the risk of a temporary contract, except possibly in situations in which they were laid off and have no other options,” the Senior HR Consultant of the Brainspotting recruitment agency, specializing in the field of IT, Alina Manole, said.
At present, the certainty of a job and the development outlook of the company are the main criteria for choosing a job, rather than salary and benefits, according to HR specialists.
“The number of applicants since the start of this period of economic recession has risen some fourfold, and most of the job seekers are people who want to find a new workplace because there are things they no longer like at their current job. I do not believe that the salary is a relevant factor now; this is no longer the key for attracting staff,” the Vice President of Xerox’s Eastern emerging market operations, Marius Persinaru, said.
Personnel leasing, a possible way for reducing costs considering the economic crisis, is currently registering a slight decline compared to previous years, following the general trend in the HR – recruitment field.
