Jidvei to enter the red wine market in May

The company is currently working on the marketing strategy for the new super premium segment wines. Prices will be higher than those of the white wines produced by Jidvei. “The red wines will be produced from two types of French grapes and from Pinot Noir,” said Cristian Fuga, the company’s Marketing Manager. He added that Jidvei has invested some €4 million to buy a new fermentation and maturation line for red wines.

The Internal wine market is estimated at €450 mln, with annual growth rhythm of 10-15 percent. Jidvei targets business of €30 mln this year, 15 percent higher than in 2006.
