British manager Jonathan Soper, who has headed the five-star InterContinental hotel in Bucharest since the end of 2006, quit his position of General Manager at the end of 2008, and is to be replaced by Germen Marten Schoenrock as of tomorrow. InterContinental officials confirmed the information but declined to provide any further details.
Schoenrock has a 15 year experience within InterContinental, and was, among others, Hotel Manager of InterContinental Berlin, and Food&Beverage Manager of InterContinental Chicago. One of his new tasks will be supervising the renovation process of the five-star unit, which started this year.
