JW Marriott posted turnover of €40 million in 2007

The hotel is administered by Societatea Companiilor Hoteliere Grand which, according to Trade Register information, is controlled by Austrian Bauholding Strabag, which owns 51 percent directly and 4 percent indirectly, through an investment fund, the ONT Carpati travel agency, with 30 percent, and Alliance Overseas Import-Export, with 15 percent. The latter is controlled by businessman Fahti Taher, the new owner of the Rapid Bucharest football club.
There are seven five-star hotels in Bucharest: JW Marriott, Athenee Palace Hilton, Crowne Plaza, InterContinental, Howard Johnson, Grand Plaza, Casa Capsa and Carol Parc.
