Kidnappers of Giorgos Milonas demand €30 mln ransom

Milonas controls the largest aluminum producer in Greece, Alumil, which owns 55.9 percent of Alumil Rom Industry. The Romanian branch is worth €47 million on the stock exchange, of which Alumil’s participation amounts to €26.3 mln. Alumil Rom Industry shares were suspended from transactions following the kidnapping.

The Greek businessman was kidnapped Monday night, while returning home with his wife, and the kidnappers have given the family one week to pay the ransom.

Alumil Rom Industry posted net profit worth RON 14.15 mln (€4.25 mln) and estimates net profit worth RON 15.5 mln (€4.23 mln).
