The company posted gross turnover worth €42 mln in 2007, 23 percent higher year-on-year. Its turnover increased 20 percent in the first quarter of 2008.
Kober plans to invest €12 mln in a new production unit in Savinesti and make other investments to modernize its existing production capacities at its Turturesti factory, both in Neamt County.
It is hoping to increase its paint and varnish market share in terms of value to 30 percent in the coming five years, from a present 20-21 percent. Aurel Kober, President of the company, believes that the market will reach a value of €230-240 mln this year, from €180-200 mln in 2007.
Its main competitors on the local market are Fabryo Corporation, dufa Deutek, Policolor and Druckfarben.
