Net profit of Lafarge Ciment rose 59 percent last year, to RON 440.9 million (€132.4 mln), due to the spectacular development of the construction market. The company’s turnover rose to €338.7 mln and the profit margin was some 39 percent of total turnover.
By comparison, net results make up some 25 percent of profit posted by Petrom, Romania’s largest company, given that Lafarge Ciment turnover is over ten times smaller.
