Land in Bucharest, more expensive than in Sofia, Belgrade
The price of land in Romania’s capital fluctuates between 80 and 670 euros per square meter, with 300 square meters plots of land being the most expensive. Land measuring 300 to 500 square meters is sold for 570 euros per square meter. The plots of land between 2,000 and 3,000 square meters are the least searched for and can be acquired for 300 euros per square meter.

Belgrade is less attractive for investors as most of the land here is state property and is part of privatization processes. Prices in the Serbian capital fluctuate between 70 and 560 euros per square meter.

Bulgaria’s capital offers the cheapest land prices when compared with Belgrade and Bucharest, as these fluctuate between 75 and 350 euros per square meter. The lower prices are the result of a weaker infrastructure and the investor’s reticence for investing in Sofia.
