The top price for a plot of land in Bucharest was €10,000 per square meter, according to Magda Petrisor, a representative of Green Field Pro Real Estate, the fair’s organizer, for Business Standard. The lowest price was €0.5 per sqm, for agricultural land.

Fair organizers said the most sought after land was 300-1,000 sqm, suitable for small residential projects. Land outside Bucharest or in mountain and seaside locations were the Expoland stars.

The biggest plot available was a 550-hectare piece of agricultural land in southeastern Romania.

According to preliminary data, deals closed during Expoland amounted to €2.5 mln. Final data is due to be published this week.

Some 40 companies attended the fair, and are expecting land prices in Bucharest to remain idle this year, as they are already sky-high, while the value of land close to Bucharest is expected to increase slightly.
