The entire complex will cover 4.5 hectares, with the constructed surface some 1 hectare, and could well be the largest such center in the region.
“We decided to build this center in Baia Mare because of the remarkable economic growth of the Transylvanian market in the past ten years. We will sell the full range of models distributed on the Romanian market at this center,” said the company’s General Manager, Mircea Cirt.
The complex will include a showroom, office space, a service center, mechanical, electrical and tinsmithing shops, and storage for spare parts.
ATP Exodus was established ten years ago, first selling spare parts for cars and trucks, with a turnover in 2007 of €40 mln, up 46 percent year-on-year.
In the first 11 months of 2007, there were 6,162 Mercedes brand vehicles sold on the Romanian market, of which 2,240 cars. The importing of the Mercedes brand was taken over last year by Daimler Automotive Romania, a division of the Tiriac Holdings group.
