According to General Manager Narcis Mihai, the decision is motivated by a 10 percent increase in costs for transportation, due to rising fuel prices.
“We need three warehouses in the country, but will certainly not open these in 2008,” said Mihai.
Lekkerland has invested over €4 million in storage and delivery systems. Its Bucharest warehouse delivers goods to 1,200 delivery points.
