The main reasons for a slow market evolution are hash lending conditions for consumers and a partial blockage of public acquisitions due to local and general elections.
Business clients make up the largest portion of Lexmark’s business in Romania. “We are focused on the small and medium enterprise segment, where we are expecting the largest advance compared to 2007,” said Channel Manager Vali Gaitan.
The Romanian peripheral equipment market was worth $182.3 million in 2007, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC) market research company.
The market increased 40 percent in terms of units in the fourth quarter in 2007 and 55 percent in terms of value.
