LG Electronics Romania expects a doubling of air conditioning sales

Han Khyu, President of LG Romania, says the company targets sales of air conditioners on the residential segment to make up 60 percent of total sales, with the remainder to the commercial segment.

LG sales in air conditioning reached 50,000 units in 2006, and 90,000 units in 2007, according to company data.

The company’s market share in air conditioning was 17 percent last year, and LG is planning for a 20 percent market share in 2008.

The air conditioning market was worth €65 million in 2007, 90 percent higher year-on-year, and LG estimates for this year point to a 30 percent increase, to some €80 mln, due to construction market development.
