LG Romania plans to sell 80,000 premium class phones

“We can talk about a rise in premium phones in the LG product portfolio of up to 20 percent,” said the President of LG Electronics Romania, Han Khyu. 

The company estimates €36 mln in net sales on the mobile phone division, and a 10 percent market share. LG plans to sell over 100,000 mobile phones in the second quarter of 2008, amounting to over €8 mln, while turnover for the whole year should reach €36 mln, with 400,000 phones sold. 

The Romanian mobile phone market is estimated at some 5 million units, 25 percent higher year-on-year.
