“Next year, the commercial vehicle market will also amount to 30,000 units, of which our market share will exceed 10 percent,” Albarosa said. Cefin sales will not be impacted by the economic crisis.
“It is a bit exaggerated to use the word crisis on the Romanian market, if we compare this to what is happening outside. We have trucks in stock and can deliver these immediately. We also provide financing through Iveco Capital, so our clients do not need to go to the bank,” he added.
However, the company delayed its investment budget for the second quarter of 2009. “We want to see how the economy evolves and further effects of the financial crisis, to adjust our investments. Listing on the stock market would be a mistake now, but we are not abandoning the project,” Albarosa said.
Cefin Holdings estimates €400 million worth of business this year, 47.9 percent higher year-on-year, and double compared to results in 2006.
