Lower prices and higher distribution costs to narrow breezeblock market by 10 percent

In terms of value, however, the companies' turnover is to drop by an average 10 percent, due to a decline in prices and lower profit margins and to higher distribution costs.

"It is obvious that we have to be less demanding amid crisis. All companies in the field lowered prices by some 10 percent, while distribution costs increased. Although the market fell 10 percent in terms of volume in the first quarter and the value dropped 7 percent, I think that we can maintain last year's production capacity," the Manager of Celco Constanta producer and President of the Pro-BCA (Pro-Breezeblock) Association, Nicolae Dusu, said.
