The company’s Managing Director, Radu Florescu, told Business Standard the lower profits are a consequence of higher salaries and other costs. Saatchi&Saatchi currently ranks 10th in the top of advertising agencies in Romania. The advertising agency is part of the communication group Publicis, one of the largest worldwide. Saatchi&Saatchi’s long-term strategy on the Romanian market is based on the company’s strategy worldwide. On the local market, as well as on other market it operates, Saatchi&Saatchi is not introducing itself as an advertising company, but as an “ideas company.”
The main services it is providing are advertising strategy, creation, public relations, media, production, BTL (below-the-line) and ATL (above the line) operations, lobby, consultancy and direct marketing. The Romanian branch of Saatchi&Saatchi last year closed deals with several significant clients, including CEZ Romania (energy) for public relations, Terapia (pharma company) for BTL activities and the state-owned Romanian Lottery for ATL activities. As network clients, Saatchi&Saatchi Romania is collaborating with Procter&Gamble for ATL operations and Toyota Romania (full service).
