In 2007, the local subsidiary of Netherlands-based Lugera&Makler posted some €12 million in business in 2007, 60 percent higher year-on-year.
“Last year’s sales were influenced by high demand of human resource services and the trend is still upward due to the expansion of our services portfolio - payroll, personnel leasing, advisory, training, outsourcing,” according to a statement for Business Standard by the company’s Country Manager, Cristina Savuica. Last year, 30 percent of Lugera&Makler turnover came from recruitment services, 60 percent from personnel leasing, and the remaining 10 percent, from payroll services.
The company currently has one office in Bucharest and a further six in major cities in Romania. It plans to open another two branches in the country.
