LukOil: increasing oil price will lead to drop in sales

Gabriel Daraban, Commercial Manager of state-owned Oil Termina port operator, said that Petrom’s imports have decreased since early 2008. “Petrom imports some 100,000 tons a month, while it imported some 200,000 tons by the end of last year,” said Daraban.  Daraban added that KazMunaiGaz, owner of Rompetrol, imports some 300,000 tons of oil for the Petromidia refinery.

LukOil owns a refinery in and a network of some 300 gas stations.
