M&A at 11% of their 2008 value

The value of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in Romania, excepting real estate transactions, amounted to €280 million in the first nine months, representing 11.2 percent of the €2.5 billion level registered in the first three quarters in 2008, Dan Weiler, Executive Director of the Corporate Finance&Investment Banking Division of Banca Comercială Română (BCR), said. M&A plunged 62 percent year-on-year in the first 9 months, to 58 transactions, according to BCR.
