The deal is worth a total €53 million. The remainder will be provided from the company’s own funds and bank loans, the company’s CEO, Marius Marin, told Business Standard.
The capital increase was made through a cash inflow by HaMer Holding investment fund, part of Polish Enterprise Fund VI, which owns 99.9 percent of the local company.
By taking over Simcor, Macon is to become Romania’s largest breezeblock producer, with a 30 percent share on a market worth some €200 million last year. Its main competitors are Celco, Elpreco, Prefabricate Vest, and Prefab Bucuresti.
