Macromex targets Western distribution market

Macromed was founded in 1993, as wholesale distributor. In 1998, it took over IT infrastructure company CP Info. Five years later, Macromex became major shareholder of cold meats producer Cominca Oradea. 

The company is distributing dairy products and refrigerated products made by large producers such as Lactalis, Royal Brinkers and Kraft foods. It estimates some €100 million in turnover in 2008, 10 percent higher year-on-year. Its main competitors on the local market are Whiteland, Agroalim, Serpico and Impex Bock.
