IIRUC Service, part of Austrian Raiffeisen Informatik Group, posted a 97 percent increase year-on-year in sales of IT services in the first quarter of 2009, according to the company’s Sales Division Executive Director, Dragos Stanescu, although he declined to give the exact value of sales. Compared to Q4 2008, the increase was 7 percent.
The results are attributed to the reorganization of the company’s management, the change in long-term strategy, a focus on nationwide IT services, and the diversification of operations. “Furthermore, the crisis that arose by the end of 2008 was and will remain an opportunity for IIRUC, as outsourcing has become a cost optimization measure,” Stanescu said.
Furthermore, the IT service market is increasing, and this trend is likely to be maintained this year.
