This is the latest management change in the field, following a series of departures or dismissals of software and telecom company managers.
The first month of 2008 brought two resignations in the telecom field: the CEO of Zapp mobile operator, Piermario di Pietro, and the Manager of Cosmote Romania mobile operator, Nikolaos Tsolas.

Also in January, the General Manager of software company Wizrom, Cristian Udrescu, announced his one-year withdrawal from the company. In December, the President of IT solutions producer Romsys, Marius Cojanu, allegedly stepped down, after selling the company to Austrian company New Frontier Holding.

Further changes are expected this year in the management of antivirus solutions producer, BitDefender. After allowing new investors into the business, the company's President, Florin Talpes, said he plans to appoint a CEO for BitDefender.
