Managers learn to delegate to avoid failure

“It is true that many businesses move backwards, shortly after they are established, because entrepreneurs fail to delegate,” says the founder and President of RTC distribution group, Octavian Radu. He said that many entrepreneurs have a pathological lack of trust in their employees and think that everyone will try to steal from them. Furthermore, the owners of most businesses believe they know best, which turns them into “the major obstacle within their own business,” according to Radu.

When an entrepreneur risks his own capital, he tends to control everything for as long as possible. If the owner is unable to distance himself from the operating management, failure is unavoidable. “If an entrepreneur does not begin employing people more skilled than himself, the only way for the company is down after the first two years of operations,” said the General Manager of Curiero delivery company, Bogdan Carcu.
