Marius Ghenea acquires 51% of the Viking Profil roof tile maker

“I have been analyzing various investment proposals from Romanian entrepreneurs for a long time, and Viking Profil was one of these. I believe this is the opportune time to enter the construction market, considering that this business in Romania has been virtually exploding in recent years, and is subject to 25-30 percent annual growth, said the new President of Viking Profil, Marius Ghenea.

The first stage in the Viking Profil investment is worth €1 mln, and will take place in the first nine months of this year, to develop production and sustain distribution channels. Viking Profil presently has two production lines which make two types of roof tiles, branded Mira and Arcadia, which differ from each other esthetically and functionally. The tile maker has some 40 employees and plans to reach 100 by 2009, following the expansion of the business. The company has two units in Craiova and Bucharest. (NewsIn)
