“Although we initially forecast an increase of some 10-15 percent, and in the worst case, stagnation of our business, after we saw the evolution of the market we revised our estimates and are now expecting 20-25 percent drop in net sales,” the CEO of Brinel group, Marcel Borodi, said.
Thus, the company’s net sales could fall to some €21 million by year-end, compared to €28 mln registered in 2008. The public sector generated 30 percent of the company’s revenues last year.
“Probably, public projects will begin to appear as of May. So far, revenues from the public sector are almost null. However, competition is certainly very tight on this segment,” Borodi added.
