The representatives believe that the increase in market share is due to distribution being taken over by Tymbark, part of the Polish group. “This estimate is based on results in the first quarter and on the promotion project we have this year,” added Arnos.
The Oradea-based company posted turnover last year worth €3.8 million, and a profit of €700,000.
The Polish Lubella company, part of the Maspex Wadowice group, took over 80 percent of Arnos Oradea’s shares last year, acquiring the remainder this year.
Romanian per capita consumption of noodle products is an annual 2.5 kilograms, compared to 8 kg in Hungary and Bulgaria, and 30 kg in Italy.
