“In the past two to three years, prices paid for entering the Romanian market have been very high. Recent insurance deals, for example, were operated at very high multiples for acquisitions,” Caramitru told Business Standard.
Foreign investors are still willing to pay higher prices, instead of going to markets that are less interesting.
The insurance industry was outstandingly attractive lately due to its strategic positioning, as the market is growing rapidly, and the penetration rate of insurance products is still low.
