“We had spectacular annual growth. In 2008, the number of patients doubled compared to 2007,” Med-as General Manager, Simona Ateia, said.
The company plans to open a new clinic in the city of Pitesti this June, expand its Med-as Professional clinic in Bucharest, and finalize a new clinic, also in Bucharest.
Unlike many players in the health industry, which are betting on corporate clients or paid services, Med-as is focusing on developing services paid by the National Health Insurance House (CNAS) for patients. “Everyone is fighting for the luxury client segment, I am interested in the mass segment,” Ateia said.
