“We target some €13 million in turnover, along a growth trend similar to that in 2007, when we had more than €10 mln in turnover," Medicover General Manager, Marina Otelea, told Business Standard.
This year, the company will relocate its northern Bucharest Grozovici unit (in the Obor area) increasing its capacity by 30 percent, will enlarge its clinic in the Victoriei Square area by 10 percent, and will relocate a further clinic near the Gara de Nord train station to Unirii Square, also expanding capacity by 30 percent. These investments, set to be completed in the first quarter of 2008, will allow an increase of 10,000-12,000 of subscribers, Otelea added.
Medicover currently has some 60,000 subscribers, while a further 70,000 clients visit the clinics every year when they need medical services.
Besides the three clinics in Bucharest, Medicover also has two units in the cities of Constanta and Timisoara.
The private clinic market is estimated to be worth some €300 mln, with Medlife, Sanador, Centrul Medical Unirea (CMU), Romar, Hiperdia, and Medicover as main players.
