MedLife founders to become distributors of luxury yachts

“In Spain and Italy, countries with a very large coastline, one in five people have a boat. The Danube’s potential is fantastic, think of what it means to take your boat to Belgrade, Budapest and to travel on the Rhine,” said Mihail Marcu, President of MedLife, the largest company on the local private medical services market.

Romania has the lowest ratio of boats per capita in Europe, where the average is 1 boat to every 68 persons. Statistics show that there are some 15,000 boats registered in Romania.

According to Marcu, the Romanian boat market is estimated to be worth €35 million, but its potential is huge.

“We have conducted market research. The potential is high. We would need 200,000 boats in the next five years to reach a European average,” Marcu added.
