“Mega Image continues its expansion plans announced at the beginning of 2009, and our recruitment intentions are in accordance with this plan. We continue to hire for the new stores,” Stanciulescu said.
Most people will be recruited in Bucharest, considering that the company’s expansion plans target mainly locations in Romania’s capital, according to the HR Manager. “Besides recruitment made to support the expansion of the store network, Mega Image will also hire to cover personnel turnover,” she added.
“Due to the economic crisis, there has been an improvement in recruitment conditions in terms of number of applications, but not necessarily in terms of the level of applicant qualifications,” Stanciulescu said.
The company intends to raise the salaries of its employees, following an annual evaluation of the entire staff, but it did not indicate the average value of the salary increase. According to the supermarket chain’s HR Manager, employee benefits have not been affected by the economic crisis, and training programs were developed mainly with internal resources.
