Mid-sized banks doubled their assets

Leading banks has lost almost 5 percentage points in favor of banks who promoted themselves aggressively. Bankers are anticipating a modest asset increase in 2008, especially since second quarter results indicate a drop for both Raiffeisen and Bancpost, two of Romania’s top five banks.
