Midocar estimates to sell 1,500 cars in Romania this year

Midocar sold 940 Volkswagen cars in the first ten months of the eyar, 19 percent more than expected and 22 percent more than in the same period last year. Midocar's results were supported by sales to fleet clients. Among the clients were Novartis Pharma, Hewlett Packard, Oracle, Romastru Trading, Novo Nordisk and Johnson & Johnson. Midocar sold 1,298 cars from the beginning of the year to present.

The company was founded in 1992 and it was the first Volkswagen dealer on the Romanian market. Midocar's revenues stood at 72.78 million lei (20.7 million euros) in 2006 from 71.11 million lei in 2005.

The average number of employees rose a bit more than 10 percent, from 137 in 2005 to 154 in 2006.
