This is the company’s 13th store in Romania. MiniMax is currently expanding into the western part of Romania, the company’s general manager Rainer Exel said.
The company targets to open other 20 stores in the central cities of Brasov and Petrosani, in the southern cities of Buzau and Turnu Magurele, as well as in Navodari and Ovidiu, southeastern Romania in the next year.
MiniMax Discount is a Romanian company that entered the market in 2005. Last year the network reported a 4.2 million lei net profit on revenues of 48.9 million lei.
The company’s competitors on the local market are Plus Discount, Kaufland, XXL Megadiscount and Penny Market.
