The largest share, worth 79 percent, came from the financing of cars, trucks, buses and construction vehicles. Real estate leasing made up 16 percent of total financing and equipment leasing 6 percent.
General Manager Cornel Coca Constantinescu says that the process to integrate the bank in the Bayerische Landesbank financial group and the real estate financing segment led to the increase in 2007.
MKB Romexterra Bank is controlled by German group Bayerische Landesbank (Bayern LB) through MKB Bank Hungary. The business strategy targets the development of the non-financial assets segment, so that real estate leasing would make up 20 percent of total business by the end of 2008, according to a statement for Mediafax by Constantinescu.
The company intents to launch an operational leasing subsidiary and develop its work force, distribution channels, and territorial network.
