At home, the company's target, Romanians with average to large income, will be among the most affected by the crisis, because they "can no longer prosper."
Furthermore, Sucu said the magnitude of the financial crisis will be more severe than previously foreseen in Romania. "No matter how competent our governors are, they lack the means to act. What happens on the Romanian market is even more complicated than in Europe, because more companies no longer have Romanian capital," he said.
Multinationals with production units in Romania will not hesitate to close them, in order to maintain those in their home countries. One example is that of furniture producer IKEA, which last year closed a Romanian factory last fall.
Mobexpert currently has 3,000 employees, of which some 2,000 are working in factories. Closing one or two units mean laying off some 300-400 people.
