“The investment at Vitantis will be made in July and August, mostly with own funds,” said company representatives.

The company has five stores in Romania, and expects turnover worth €8 mln in 2008, €2 mln more year-on-year. Its Vitantis location will cover 3,000 square meters, and Mobila Bontas’ strategy includes the opening of other such large stores, and the closing of smaller ones.

The local furniture market is worth some €1 billion. Main companies on the market are Mobexpert and IKEA.
