“We virtually double income from year to year. Now, in H1, we rose by 80 percent and this will also be the advance for the full year when we are to make €3.5 million. In Romania the market grows by 50 percent annually, so our evolution is not bad at all,” Fusu told Business Standard. He declined to say what the company’s profit margin is.
The total online market, including advertising and online classifieds, is to amount to €20-25 million this year, according to Fusu. He expects internet traffic to increase by 30-40 percent by 2009.
Neogen is also operating in the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria and Serbia.
On the online advertising market, estimated to be worth €15 million, Neogen’s main competitors are the Boom division, owned by Netbridge company, ARBOinteractive and AdEvolution. On the online recruiting market, worth some €5 million, the main competitor is eJobs.
