Ness Romania: top IT provider for utility companies

Over 50 percent of Ness Romania's turnover is generated by contracts with utility companies, and its largest clients are Enel, E.ON, and CEZ, according to the company's General Manager, Gabriel Mardarasevici. Ness won the CEZ contract at an auction in Prague last year, against competitors such as HP, IBM, Solutiona Spania, and Siemens Business Services.

Public institutions make up 15 percent of Ness Romania's client portfolio, while private companies, including utility companies, account for the remaining 85 percent.

Ness Technologies has 7,700 employees in 17 countries and 500 clients. It posted $392.3 mln (some €268.4 mln) in turnover in the first nine months of 2007, according to company records.
